The collection of over 3,500 objects includes significant holdings of nationally acclaimed Ontario artists, such as John Boyle, Jack Bush, Jack Chambers, Paterson Ewen, Murray Favro, Robert Fones, Wyn Geleynse, Jamelie Hassan, Joyce Wieland and Michael Snow, and Canadian photography including works by Barbara Astman, Geneviève Cadieux, Evergon, Geoffrey James, Suzy Lake and Jeff Wall. Historical Canadian art is well represented by 19th century artists Richard Airey, John Caddy, Florence Carlyle and Paul Peel, and 20th century artists including members of the Group of Seven and their contemporaries such as Alfred Casson, A.Y. Jackson, Arthur Lismer and David Milne. The McIntosh Collection includes major works by artists from across Canada including E.J. Hughes, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Paul- Emile Borduas and Alex Colville.The Collection
